Rain gear, traffic vests, back supports and more!
When working outside, you need the best protection possible against extreme conditions. Whether in extreme cold or heat, you should have the right outerwear to be comfortable during the work day.
Safety gloves are always important for protecting your hands. For cold conditions, we carry winter safety gloves made from a combination of fleece and cowhide, cotton-polyester coated with nitrile, and Thinsulate lined with vinyl. Similarly, to keep warm or cool, a hat can help. We sell Hi-Viz, welders, and Miracool hats, but, during winter, a liner for a hard hat is necessary. Our hat liners are made from fleece or cotton or quilted material and, for the coldest situations, full-face liners are also available.
In the rain or the cold, full body protection is also important. We offer a variety of rain suits and jackets to keep you dry or warm. Our rain suits are designed for heavy rain or for working in chemical environments and are made from PVC, with a polyester lining and ventilated back. For full protection, a three-piece rain suit, consisting of a jacket, bib pant, and hood, is recommended. Jackets can be used to keep you dry, but, if you’re a welder or work outside in the winter, we carry jackets made from leather and flame retardant materials. In addition to jackets, we carry other pieces of welding clothing to keep you protected on the job from sparks, flames, and flying debris.
Your body should stay in good shape and not be ruined because of your job. For support, we carry back-lumbar support belts and knee pads. Our back braces, on average, are made from an 8” elastic belt supported by silicone grip strips to stay in place. They come with a sew-on pair of suspenders. The Orion Back Belt, specifically, gives lumbar and abdominal support by supporting the vulnerable region of the spine and insulating muscles. Instead of standing, you could be kneeling often at your job and, to protect and cushion your knee caps, we carry a variety of knee pads made from rubber, plastic, polyester, and gel.
