Face Shields

Face Shields

Once you have your goggles, you’ll want to make sure that your face is fully protected by using a face shield. Goggles help reduce splashes, sprays, and droplets, but a face shield reduces the total exposure. Face shields should wrap around the face and cover the points on both ears. NIOSH comments, “disposable face shields for medical personnel made of light weight films that are attached to a surgical mask or fit loosely around the face should not be relied upon as optimal protection."

**Face shields and goggles MUST be worn together during chemical exposures or industrial applications.
