Our award winning safety helmet, the GH401, features Koroyd’s advanced impact technology as the inside protective layer between the shell of the helmet and the user. Why have we chosen Koroyd over traditional EPS foam? Because when EPS foam is compressed by an impact, it becomes stiffer, resulting in more energy from the impact being transferred to the head of the user. The Koroyd material used in the GH401 crumples instantly and consistently on impact, reducing the energy being transferred, and protects the user better. The engineered structure of the Koroyd material has many benefits. Another benefit is minimal heat accumulation, because the structure of the Koroyd material is composed of the world’s thinnest welded tubes, enabling heat from the user’s head to vent out of the helmet.
